New members: Congratulations to Tom Stahowick for becoming a Knight of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Degrees!
Chaplain’s Message: Worthy Lecturer, Dcn. Dennis Wright, reminded us that in a time of great divisiveness, be patient and respectful with those who we disagree with, & yield to fraternity and kindness whenever possible.
Reading of Minutes: Motion to waive the reading of the June 2020 minutes due to their availability on the Ass’n Knights website (Tony Slack, seconded by Dcn. Dennis Wright). Ayes all present; motion carried.
Grand Knight’s Message: Worthy Grand Knight Merlyn Weise thanked our prior officers for their year of service & our new officers for serving in ’20-‘21. He was happy to see everyone, pointing out the cleaning habits & social distancing we’d undertaken enabled us to meet in-person.

There’s a lot of information coming from the State regarding activities this year – stay tuned. Finally, Dennis mentioned he was glad to see folks’ faces again.

- $250 to the Diocese for seminarians

Old Business:
- Fish Fry’s: Before cancellation, we were taking in $1,900 per fish fry, which gave us $5,700 for the three we held. (We’re short about $4,500 from what we would’ve gained throughout Lent).
- IA KC Convention: Held virtually.
- Event & Ministry Funding 2020-2021:
- Second Reading.
- We’d voted to transfer the difference between the CD amount & 10,000 ($7,434 as of this mtg) into savings, leaving $10,000 in our CD, ONLY as-needed & IF-needed, to cover our ministry and event funding in ’20-’21.
- This is only as-needed and if-needed, due to the emergent nature of COVID-19 and its effect on our fundraising. Moreover, IF we do this, we will begin putting money back from our programs to re-fill what we used, as we’ve done in the past.
- Motion to move funds over $10,000 from the CD to savings on an as-needed & if-needed basis to fulfull ministry & event needs (Joe Henkels, seconded by Tony Slack). Ayes all present; motion carried.
