Grand Knight Report
Joe Henkels – State convention coming up this year Friday April 13th – Saturday April 14th in Sioux City – need two delegates to go to convention. Need to pick the delegates tonight.
Ken Wiley volunteered – Dave Nixon volunteered
Coats for kids Squires program – expenses – Invoice for the coats $648 – Squires putting together fundraiser to pay for the coats. Last invoice for Christmas cards – two or three boxes. Cost of lunch for squire investiture.
Motion to pay the current bills.
Invoice for coats and t-shirts.
A motion was proposed by tony Slack to pay bills, seconded by Dale Limoges.

Chancellor Report
Deacon Tom updated the group on Father Remi’s mother surgery. She came out of surgery and is doing fine. Passed the basket to collect funds to pay for Father’s travel expenses.
District Deputy Report

Treasurer Report
Paul Martin – $4300 in the checking account endowment $9817 – since last report, Omelet breakfasts and pancake $343 – $17 – but we have enough supplies for the next pancake breakfasts. Light Pole has been paid for $2500.
Financial Secretary Report
Cards will be handed out at next meeting by Dan Verhasselt – two members moved, Peter Green moved to Clinton and Scott Allerd moved to Kansas.
Old Businesses:
Review for free-throw contest – Doug Erps – Council competition this Saturday – targeted 12:30 for registration, competition starts at 1:00pm. Setup starts at noon. Ten total competitions five groups of boys and girls – basketballs above the cage. Takes about an hour and then done! One scorer and two rebounders. A good practice for the district competition being held at the Assumption Gym.
Members of District – Madrid, Perry, Ankeny, Elkhart and Assumption
District competition will take longer.
It was mentioned that the Squires serve food for a fundraiser.
St. Bridget’s Squire Circle is now official. First 10 kids will all be charter members of the circle. Location for the official framed certificate. Put down by the cross in the gathering space.
New Business:
Tom Schenk – a couple of things – banners for the light polls. Catholic women’s club is buying two Lenten banners. And the knights to purchase two fish fry banners with the Lenten banners. Each banner is $100.
Parish may come back to the CWC and the Knights to purchase Easter Banners. Ken’s son Adam will design the banners.
Motion to accept cost of banners – Joe Henkels, motioned and Jodi Bermel seconded – Approved.
One of the parents in the school system was in a car accident, two of her kids go to school at Assumption. Currently in great financial difficulty. Parishioners helped them pay for heat in the house, and working on food for the family. Group of individuals stepping up to pay their bills.
Curios if the Knights will help with school tuition for three months. Will require $900 for the two children to continue going to school at Assumption. Wade Derry motioned to pay for the tuition of the children. Motion seconded by Joe Christensen with the statement and worry about where the money comes from later. Motion carried.
Donation checks can be made out to Assumption School, earmarked for this family.

Distinguished alumni awards to be awarded at the 10:00am mass on the 29th. Father Koch will be
John Simms – asking on behalf of the Squires – would like seed money to get started. Supplies to make cross and sell for fundraising. John, motioned to seed the Squires for $200 to start a project and cook for the free throw competition. Joe Henkels seconded, motion carried. Paul has the $100 for lighting project set aside for Squires projects.

Fred Tiernan – Fred Mckibben recovering from Back Surgery – he’s doing well. Dave Nixon is recovering from surgery.
Joe Henkels Saturday afternoon – 2nd and 3rd degree ceremony in Altoona. 4th degree in Sioux City.
